Voting terms and conditions

There are two stages of voting:

1) Long list voting - vote for any product or service from 9th May until 11th July.

2) Short list voting - BTA committee will collate the most nominated products from the long list voting to create a short list. This will run from 12th May until 12th September when voting closes.

Individuals may only enter one voting submission during each stage of the voting process (i.e. one vote during long list voting and then one vote during the short list voting). Duplicate voting from any individual will be removed and the first voting submission accepted.

Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. The entry of a vote by all adults over the age of 18 and inclusion of contact details will automatically enter you into the prize draw and signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. You confirm that you are aged 18 or over. Proof of age must be supplied upon request.

3. Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Irish Republic.

4. Employees of Incisive Media, their immediate families and friends may not enter the competition.

5. Entries are limited to one entry per person per voting entry.

6. No cash alternatives are available.

7. No purchase is necessary to enter.

8. Incisive Media can accept no responsibility for late, lost or undelivered voting entries.

9. Upon close of a competition, the winner(s) will be selected at random from all correct entries received.

10. Incisive Media’s decision will be final in all matters relating to the competition and Incisive Media will not enter into any correspondence regarding the competition.

11. Incisive Media will use all reasonable endeavours to notify the winner(s) within 14 days of the close of the competition. Prizes should be received within 28 days of receipt of notification.

12. Details of the winner can be obtained from Incisive Media by writing to "British Technology Awards Competition", 32-34 Broadwick Street, London W1A 2HG, enclosing a SAE.

13. Incisive Media will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that the prizes are as described on this page. Incisive Media cannot accept any liability in respect of any prize, however, and any queries regarding a prize should be taken up directly with the sponsor of that prize.

14. Winner(s)' details may be used in reasonable promotional activities relating to the competition, subject to prior notification by Incisive Media.

15. Your name and email address will be provided to the competition sponsor(s). All other data will be used in accordance with our privacy policy.

16. Details of how to enter, closing dates and prize descriptions can be found on the individual competition pages.

17. These Terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England. All disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

18. Competition entries will only be accepted if made via the relevant Incisive Media competition page.

Website usage terms & conditions

Access to and the use of this site is provided by Incisive Media subject to the following terms and conditions

(a) Use of this site constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions which take effect at the time you first access the site.

(b) If you do not accept these terms and conditions you must not use this site.

(c) INCISIVE MEDIA reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. It is your responsibility to refer to these terms and conditions on accessing this site.

(d) Continued use of this site after such changes to the terms and conditions constitutes acceptance of those posted changes.

(e) INCISIVE MEDIA reserves the right to make this site unavailable at any time or to restrict access to parts or all of the site without notice.

(f) You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights, including any trade marks or copyright in the content of this site, are owned by INCISIVE MEDIA or its third party suppliers. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as granting any licence or right to use any of the intellectual property of INCISIVE MEDIA except as otherwise provided on this site.

(g) Material may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, broadcast or transmitted in any way except for your own personal non-commercial use, or in accordance with INCISIVE MEDIA's linking terms and conditions.

(h) You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner which does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of or enjoyment of this site by any third party.

(i) If you choose to Register on this site, you will be asked to enter a username and password ("Log-in details"). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of these Log-in details and must not allow anyone else to use these Log-in details. You must immediately inform Incisive Media of any unauthorised use of your Log-in details. This can be done visiting our Feedback page.
(j) If you contribute to the site, through features such as "Forums" or any other means, which, from time to time are available, you agree not to contribute material that:
(i) contains anything which is obscene, libellous, pornographic or otherwise objectionable or illegal;
(ii) violates or infringe any statutory, common law, copyright design right or any other intellectual property rights of any other person or entity;
(iii) contains material, the publication of which would be in breach of confidence or in contempt of Court;
(iv) contains viruses or other similar contaminating or destructive features.

(k) Incisive Media is not responsible for material posted by Registrants on its site. INCISIVE MEDIA however reserves the right to delete or edit such material at its sole discretion and without notice.

(l) Incisive Media reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to this site and/or Log-in details at its sole discretion and without notice.

(m) You agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend INCISIVE MEDIA from any and all loss, damage and expense (including legal fees) incurred by INCISIVE MEDIA on account of any claim or lawsuit arising out of or related to your use of this site or material posted on this site under your Log-in details, whether or not authorised by you.

(n) You accept that when you leave this site (whether knowingly or not) INCISIVE MEDIA can no longer be responsible in any way for any material that you encounter and INCISIVE MEDIA excludes (to the fullest extent permitted by law) any liability that may arise with respect to or as a result of such material causing any damage, costs, injury or financial loss of any kind.

(o) Incisive Media uses reasonable care and skill in providing the content on this site but does not represent or warrant the accuracy, timeliness, completeness or suitability of the content. Some content may contain pricing information; however at no time does INCISIVE MEDIA act as a vendor. INCISIVE MEDIA disclaims liability for this content.

(q) These terms and conditions are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

(r) Incisive Media does not warrant that this site is free of viruses or bugs or that this site is compatible with all computer systems and browsers.

(s) This site includes links to other sites on the world wide web. Incisive Media makes no warranties as to the suitability or accuracy of the content of any of those sites.

(t) Incisive Media accepts no liability for any product or service advertised, supplied or otherwise promoted on this site by any third party. INCISIVE MEDIA also disclaims liability for any downloadable software on this site.

(u) Incisive Media does not warrant that any of the goods or services linked to or advertised on this site comply with data protection or other relevant legislation and INCISIVE MEDIA accepts no liability whatsoever for any claim arising from such goods or services.
